In October 2008 the 1992 Fund Assembly considered a proposal by the Director to amend Staff Regulation 24 to the effect that the notice of resignation required from Professional staff be increased from 30 to 90 days so as to bring it in line with the situation at the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The Assembly decided not to amend Staff Regulation 24.
