In June 2008 the 1992 Fund Administrative Council noted that it had at its June 2007 session approved the Technical Guidelines on the assessment of claims in the fishing, mariculture and fish processing sectors and instructed the Secretariat to publish them as a Fund document. It was recalled that, since these Guidelines were primarily intended for experts, the Council had instructed the Secretariat to develop a simplified version of the Guidelines for claimants in the subsistence fisheries sector.The Council reviewed the draft of a simplified set of Guidelines prepared by the Secretaraiat and decided that the Fund should publish these Guidelines as a Fund document.
