In October 2004 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council recalled that the 1971 Fund Assembly had at its 4th extraordinary session decided that the Director of the 1971 Fund should ex officio be the person who held the post of Director of the 1992 Fund, provided the 1992 Fund Assembly agreed. The Council noted the decision of the 1992 Fund Assembly at its 4th (October 2004) session to extend the contract of the incumbent Director, Mr Måns Jacobsson, for a further term of offfice of two years, as from 1 January 2005, to include any period for a smooth transition to the next Director as the 1992 Fund Assembly would decide. It was also noted that the 1992 Fund Assembly had decided that the Director of the 1992 Fund should continue to be allowed to carry out the functions of Director of the 1971 Fund also. The Administrative Council took note of the fact that, as a result of the 1992 Fund Assembly’s decision, Mr Måns Jacobsson would continue to serve as Director of the 1971 Fund.
