In October 2002 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council adopted the budget appropriations for 2003, with a total administrative expenditure for the joint Secretariat of £3,012,857, plus an additional amount of 250,000 to cover costs specifically relating to the winding up of the 1971 Fund. It was noted that the 1992 Fund Assembly had at its 7th session adopted the same budget appropriations. The Council renewed its authorisation to the Director to create positions in the General Service category as required provided that the resulting cost would not exceed 10% of the figure for salaries in the budget.
