In October 1994 the 1971 Fund Assembly decided that, since the 1992 Protocols to the 1969 Civil Liability and 1971 Fund Conventions would enter into force during the first half of 1996, it would be more appropriate for a review of the functions of the Executive Committee under the 1971 Fund Convention to be made in conjunction with the preparations for the entry into force of the 1992 Protocol to that Convention.
