In October 1994 the 1971 Fund Assembly decided to publish a revised edition of the 1971 Fund’s Claims Manual and that the revised version should be expanded so as to present the criteria applied by the Fund in respect of the admissibility of claims for compensation, reflecting the position on major questions of principle taken by the Assembly on the basis of the report of the 7th intersessional Working Group. The Director was invited to prepare a draft version of the Claims Manual and to submit it to the Executive Committee for consideration at its 42nd session. It was also decided that the draft should be circulated before that session to Member States as well as States and organisations which had observer status, inviting written proposals for amendments.
