In April 2000 the 1992 Fund Executive Committee instructed the Director to continue to follow the investigation into the cause of the incident and endorsed his decision to refuse a request by Total Fina that the 1992 Fund contribute to an advance payment to cover the cost of experts appointed by the French Court to investigate the cause of the incident.
