In April 1999 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee emphasised that the 1971 Fund could not commence its assessment of the pending claims until the Spanish Govenment had made available the supporting documentation referred to by the Spanish delegation. It was stated that the longer the presentation of the documents was delayed, the less likely it was that a report on the claims could be presented to the Executive Committee’s 62nd session in October 1999.
