In October 1998 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee and the 1992 Fund Executive Committee, in the light of the continuing uncertainty as to the level of the total amount of claims arising from the incident, decided to maintain the level of payments by the 1971 Fund and the 1992 Fund respectively at 60% of the establised claims.
