In October 1995 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee considered a claim by the Shetland Fish Producers Organisation for alleged loss of fishing quotas. Although several delegations took the view that the alleged losses were a result of the administrative system for allocating quotas and could not therefore be considered as damage caused by contamination, the Committee decided the matter would be re-examined after the United Kingdom delegation had provided further information.
