In February 1996 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee, in the light of information on the aggregate amount of the claims presented, decided to increase the Fund’s payments rfom 25% to 50% of the established damage suffered by each claimant, subject to confirmation of a significant reduction of the total amount of fishery related claims.
