In December 1995 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee decided to authorise the Director to make payments of settled claims, but also decided that, in view of the uncertainty concerning the total amount of the claims, the Fund’s payments should be limited for the time being to 60% of the established damage suffered by each claimant.
