In Ocotber 1995 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee took the view that the Fund should not give any interpretation of the relevant provisions in the Conventions relating to time-bar and should not give legal advice to claimants. The Committee also endorsed the view that the strict provisions in the Conventions should be applied in every case.
