In October 1994 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee, in the light of the decision by the 1971 Fund Assembly to levy 1994 annual contributions to the incident’s Major Claims Fund, decided to authorise the Director to settle all claims arising from the incident except to the extent that questions of principle arose in respect of which the Committee had not previously taken a decision.
