In October 1993 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee decided that the losses suffered by an operator of a passenger ferry as result of the suspension of the service caused by the Aegean Sea incident and a reduction in the number of passengers carried during the period thereafter should be considered a sdamage caused by contamination and that the claim for the losses should be accepted in principle.
