In June 1993 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee agreed that a claim for reimbursement of part of mooring fees and insurance premiums was inadmissible, since the costs would have been incurred by the claimant whether or not the incident had occurred and there was therefore no link of causation between the contamination and the costs.
