Decision ID: 000251

In June 1993 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee decided that losses suffered by operators of onshore fish farms cultivating salmon and turbot, which relied on seawater pumped through sub-surface intakes, should be considered damage caused by contamination since the polluted water had led to an interruption of the farms’ activities. The Committee authorised the Director to make final settlements of all claims of this kind.
