In March 1993 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee agreed that a suitable solution to the problems that had arisen in respect of the translation by IMO of Fund documents would be that an extra translator be employed by IMO but financed by the Fund and instructed the Director to discuss the matter with the Secretary-General of IMO for the purpose of reaching an agreement on the details of an arrangement along these lines.
