In October 1987 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee endorsed the position taken by the Director in respect of the admissibility of claims for fixed costs, which was based on the view of the 5th intersessional Working Group, namely that a reasonable proportion of fixed costs should be recoverable and that the calculation of the relevant fixed costs includd only those expenses which corresponded closely to the clean-up operations in question and which did not include remote overhead charges.
